Week 5 Reflection
Two trains leave a train station at the same time. One train travels east at 50 mph. The other train travels west at
55mph. In how many hours will the two trains be 315 miles apart? EXPLAIN
I also agree with nikola because what he did first was multiply 50 by 3 which is 150 and 55 by 3 will equal 165. Then you add 165 by 150 which will equal 315 so it will take 3 hours
I agree with everyone. The two trains will be 315 miles apart in 3 hours. The way everyone did it is correct but there's another way to do it. You add 50 and 55 which equals 105. You multiply 105 by 3 and you get 315.
I agree with everyone who said that the answer is 3 hours. I agree with them because in 3 hours, the train that is going east will reach a total distance of about 150 miles and the train that is going west will reach a total distance of about 165 miles. If you add these distances, you will get a total of 315 miles. So in 3 hours, they be 315 miles apart.
the train that is going east will be 150 miles away from the starting position in 3 hours and the train that is going west will be165 miles away from the starting position in 3 hours and 150 plus 165 is 325 so thee for I twill take 3 hours for the two trains to be 315 mile apart
The answer would be 3 hours.
ReplyDelete50 times 3 is 150.
55 times 3 is 165.
165 plus 150 is 315.
I agree with nikola because 50 times 3 =150 55 times 3 =165 165 plus 150 is 315 , so the answer wpuild be 3 hours
DeleteI agree with nikola and nikki because 50 x 3 = 150
Deletethen you would do 55 x 3 = 165
165 +150 = 315 so the would be 3hours
I also agree with nikola because what he did first was multiply 50 by 3 which is 150 and 55 by 3 will equal 165. Then you add 165 by 150 which will equal 315 so it will take 3 hours
DeleteI agree with Nikola and Telicia. 50x3=150 and 55x3=165. So you add both solutions: 165+150=315. So the answer would be 3 hours.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nikola Telica and Sameer. 50x3=150 and 55x3=165 then u add both answers to get 315
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone. The two trains will be 315 miles apart in 3 hours. The way everyone did it is correct but there's another way to do it. You add 50 and 55 which equals 105. You multiply 105 by 3 and you get 315.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nikola as well because 50x3=105 55x3=165 and 105+165 =315 making the amount of time for the trains to be 315 miles apart is 3 hours.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nikola because 55x3=165 and 50x3=105. If you add them together 105+165 you get 315. So the total hours should be 3.
ReplyDeleteAgreed......
ReplyDelete55x3=165
50x3=105.
105+165=315
total= 3hr
I agree with everyone who said that the answer is 3 hours.
ReplyDeleteI agree with them because in 3 hours, the train that is going east will reach a total distance of about 150 miles and the train that is going west will reach a total distance of about 165 miles. If you add these distances, you will get a total of 315 miles. So in 3 hours, they be 315 miles apart.
