GP 3 Week 1 Reflection (Due 1/16)
Pick a concept or
word that we have learned in Digits. Explain the concept/word in three or more
sentences. Put the word or concept at the beginning of your reflection!
Properties Properties are like the quality of equations because using different properties you can be given a totally different answer. Exponents and parenthesis are properties depending on which one you chose can give you a different answer. There are many different types of Propeties.
Solution A solution to a system of equations is a value of x and a value of y that, when substituted into the equations, satisfies both equations at the same time. In linear systems, there are different types of solutions. There are infinite many solutions, one solution, and no solution.
A 2 step equation is a variable and a number that you can add or subtract to find out what the variable is.You have to get rid of the number that is with the equation with the variable. You can subtract or add to get the variable by it self. Then you do is you can multiply or divide to find out what is the varible in a 2 step equation.
Expressions Expressions are numbers, and symbols grouped together that show a value of something. In Expressions you use a variable for example 13n . Some expressions use like terms.

One concept we have learned is solutions to systems of equations. There are three categories we learned to label them in. One is No solution. No solution is when the answer says something like 4=2. Another thing we learned is one solution. One solution is when the answer says x=4. Lastly we learned infinate solutions. Infinate solutions is when the answer is something like x=x.
Fractions. Fractions is a quantity that isn't a whole number. Another definition is a ratio of algebraic similarly equations. The last definition of a fraction is a quantity that represents two numbers on top of each other which usually means to divide due to the fraction symbol.
One-Step Equations. One goal in solving an equation is to have only variables on one side of the equal sign. Numbers on the other side of the equal sign. The other goal is to have the number in front of the variable equal to one.

Linear system
ReplyDeleteThere are 3 types of linear equations:
One solution is different slope
No solution is parallel lines, same slope, and different y-intercept
Infinite many solutions is same slope and same y-intercept
