There are 4 significant digits in that number. I know that because if the 0 is in between 2 significant digtis, it makes it a significant digit. Another reason that I know that is because all numbers that aren't 0 are significant digits.

30x - 16x = 14x
You then get 25 = 14x +5.
25 - 5 = 20. +5-5=0.
You're left with 20 = 14x
Divide both sides by 14.
20/14 = 1.4.
Though 16(1.4)+25 = 47.7.
30(1.4)+5 = 47.
My question: Solve the proportion for x. x/96 = 4/8.

8 times x is 8x.
Next 96 times 4 is 392.
So 8x = 392, both sides get divided by 8.
This makes x = 49!
Solve this: 3(7x+5) = 18 - 7(2+4x)
3(7x+5) = 18 - 7(2+4x)
ReplyDeleteDistribute 3 to 7x and 5, then distribute 7 to 2 and 4x.
21x+15 = 18 - 14+28x
Subtract 21x from both sides.
15 = 18 - 14+7x
Add 14 to both sides.
29 = 18 +7x
Subtract 18 from both sides.
11 = 7x.
Divide each side by 7.
1.57 = x
My question: Find the square root of 50. Round to the nearest integer.
To answer vang's question the square root of 50 is 7.07. The nearest integer is 7. That is my answer to vang's question.

First you distibute 69 by 7x and 69 by 2x. Then you distribute 7 by 24 and 7 by by 2x.Then form a smaller equation. 438x + 138 = 168 +14x. Next you get both x's on the same side. you do 438x - 14x = 424x. Then you subtract 138 from both sides. That leaves you with 424x = 30. Then you divide both sides by 424 and you get x = .07.

To solve 4(9x+7)=67 you have to distribute 4(9x+7) it turns out like 36x+28=67. Then you subtract 28 from 67 and 28 it turns out to be 36x=39. Then you divide 36 to 36x and 39. x=1.08.

My problem is 8x+48=88
First you gotta subtract 48 from 48 and 48 from 88 so all that's left is 8x=40. So now all you have to do is divide 8 by8x and divide 8 by 40 so x = 5

DeleteSubtract 10 from 10 and 100.
It should now be 90 = 5x
Divide both sides by 5.
The answer is 18 = x
