GP 4 Week 9 Reflection (DUE 5/29)

Joe's Taxi Service charges $1.50 for the first mile and $.90 for each additional mile. How far could Mr. West go if he had $20 and was going to give the driver a $2 tip?

  1. Mr. West could travel 20.6 miles.
You have two subtract the 1.5 from the 20 because each additional mile is only .9. your left with 18.5. You have to divide that by .9 to get the maximum amount of miles you can travel. That 20.6 miles plus the 2 dollar tip that was left.

    1. I agree with John because when you subtract 1.5 from 20, you have 18.5. Then divide that by .9 since each mile is .9 and get 2.6.

  9. He can travel 20.6 miles. Subtract the 1.5 from the 20 each mile has a charge of .9. Now you are left with 18.5. Divide that by .9 to get the maximum amount of miles you can travel. That 20.6 miles plus the 2 dollar tip is left.

  12. Mr. West could travel 20.6 miles. You have to subtract the 1.5 from the 20 because each additional mile is only 0.9. your left with 18.5. You have to divide that by 0.9 to get the maximum amount of miles you can travel. That 20.6 miles plus the $2 tip that was left.

  15. He would have travel 20.6 miles.
I gotten this answer because you would have to subtract the 1.5 away from 20.. You will have 18.5 and then divide it by .9 in order to get the maximum amount of mileage that you can travel. That would be 20.6 Miles plus a extra tip of 2 dollars..

  17. Mr.West could have traveled 20.6 miles. All you do is subtract 1.5 for 20 because each mile you go is only 9 then you have 18.5. You divide 18.5 by 9 to get the maximum amount of miles that you could go. Then your left with 20.6 miles plus the $2.00 tip .
