GP 4 Week 8 Reflection (Due 5/22)

An object weighing 5 pounds on Earth will weigh 2 pounds on Mercury. The Statue of Liberty weighs 225 tons. What would it weigh on Mercury?

  11. It would weigh 90 pounds. I got this answer by setting up a ratio. I multiplied 225 and 2 and got 450, then i dived 450 by 2 and got 90.

  13. Since 5 lbs. on Earth is 2 lbs. on Mercury. Then you would multiply 225 tons times 0.38 and you would get 8.55 tons. 0.38 is the weight difference between Earth and Mercury.
