GP 2 Week 5

This is a two part question
If you buy 5 candy bars and a bag of $4.00 gummy worms, the variable expression 5c + 4 represents the total cost of the purchase.

1) If your bill came to $21.00 how much did each candy bar cost?

Suppose the next day you went back to the store and bought 3 DVDs and a video game for $30.  2) Write a variable expression to represent this purchase

    Each candy bar cost 3.24 dollars... because you simply plug the numbers in the equation.
    3d plus 30 is the answer. meaning u bought three dvd`s plus a thirty dollar amount.

    1) Each candy bar would cost $3.40. If you do 21=5c+4, it's a 2 step equation. So when you solve it you get $3.40.

    2) 3d+30

      I agree with Alexus because, if you subtract the 4 dollar bag of gummy bears from the 21 total amount paid, you will get 17 dollars. And if you divide that by the 5 candy bars, the answer is 3.4. So each of the candy bars are $3.40.

      I Agree With Alexus Because Once You Do The Whole Equation You're Left With 3.4. Since We're Talking About Money We Make It $3.40. Each Candy Bar Costs $3.40.

      I agree with Alexus. You have to put it in a equation and it would be 21=5c+4 and u will get 3.40. It would be 3d+30.

    1). 21.00-4.00=17.00. If you divide 17.00 and 5 you'll get 3.40.

    1, Each candy bar would cost 3.40 because when you do the 2 step equation the total would be 3.4.

    For the first part of the equation you would do 21 = 5c + 4 which when you solve it it would cost 3.40.For the second part of the equation.You would put in the form 3d+30

    If I use the equation given 5c+4.00 I get that the cost of each candy bar would be $3.40. The equation I would use to represent the purchase at the video store is 3d=$30. I would use this equation because you buy 3 DVD,s and you spend $30 on a video game.

    1.) i took 5 and multiply it by 3.4 and got 17. the i took 17 and added 4 to it so i got a total of 21.
    2.) 3d+30
