GP 1 Week 9 (DUE 10/23)

Bin A and Bin B are cubes.  Bin A has an edge length of 6 in. Bin B has an edge length of 12 in. Hoe many times greater is the edge length of bin B that the edge length of Bin A?  How many times greater is the volume of bin B that the volume of bin A

  1. 12-6 is 6 which is the edge length. 12 cubed is 1728. 6 squared is 72. 1728 subtracted by 28 is 1700 and that's the greater vulume of of bin b over a

    1. Sorry it's me I ment 6 cubed which is 216 subtract 216 from1728 and you get 1512 as your final

    2. Actually I learned this in class the correct answer is 2 times bin b than bin a. 12 x 12 x 12 is 1728. 6 x 6 x 6 is 216.1728 divided by 216 is 8 times bigger

    3. I agree with john again he did it correct a. 12 x 12 x 12 is 1728. 6 x 6 x 6 is 216.1728 divided by 216 is 8 times bigger and I worked it out so 8 is correct

  2. Bin B edge length is 2 times than Bin A edge length. Bin B volume is 8 times than Bin A volume. If you do 6x6x6, you will get 216. And if you do 12x12x12, you will get 1728. Divide 1728 by 216 and you will get 8.

    1. I agree with artis, bin B's edge length was 2 times bigger than bin A's edge length. Bin B's volume is 8 times than Bin A's volume. If you take 6×6×6 you will get 216 . Also if you multiply 12×12×12, you will get 1728. Divide 1728÷216 and get 8

  4. Bin B has twice the length of Bin A. Bin B has a volume of 8 times Bin a. If you do 6x6x6, you will get 216. And if you do 12x12x12, you will get 1728. Divide 1728 by 216 and you will get 8.

  6. I agree with john 'cause
    a. 12 x 12 x 12 is 1728
    b. 6 x 6 x 6 is 216.1728
    That is why I agree with John.

  7. Bin B Edge length is 2 times bigger than Bin A Edge length because Bin B's volume is eight times bigger than Bin A volume. I had multiplied the number 6 by 3 times and I multiplied the number 12 by 3 times. I had gotten 216 for 6 to the 3rd power. Also I had gotten 1728 for 12 to the third power. I than divided 1728 with 216 and the quotient had came out as 8. And that's how I solved it.

  8. Bin b edge is 2 times bigger than bin a. Bin b volume is 8 times bigger than bin b. 12x12x12=1728
    6x6x6=216
    1728%216=8

  9. Bin b is 2 times bigger then bin a. Bin b has a volume 8 times bigger then bin b.
    6x6x6=216
    12x12x12=1728
    1728/216=8

  10. I believe Bin B is 2x greater Bin A because 12/6=2. Bin B's volume is 8x bigger than Bin A because 6x6x6=216. Then 12x12x12=1728. Divide 1728 by 216 then you would get 8.

  11. Bin B's edge length is 2x greater than Bin A's because 6x2=12 12/6=2. Bin B's Volume is 8 times the volume of Bin A because 6x6x6=216 against 12x12x12=1728. Then divide 1728 by 216 and you get your final answer of 8.
